need a hotseat multiplayer mode !!!!!!!
Very disappointed that there is no multiplayer of any kind. Local multiplayer is the main reason I purchase boardgames on the iPad.
Good implementation with a killer AI but dont set AI speed option to No Delay as it causes the game to crash almost instantly after starting or resuming play. Plus, one suggestion: PLEASE make the numbers on the tiles larger. They are almost impossible to make out!
Sadly, this very fun board game has been poorly translated. The tiles are tiny and handling them is very buggy. I hope this app is upgraded shortly.
My favorite Reiner Knizia app. Fun game play, easy to learn, challenging a.I. makes this a perfect game.
Reiner Knizia games are always interesting and fun. However Im amazed that a board game designed for 2-4 players can only be played against computer opponents. The whole point of board games is that they can be played with friends. Board games on iPad are usually great because it lets you take tabletop games on trips etc. Board games are meant to be a social experience.
Menu items are scaled strangely, the tile stack no longer appears during gameplay and the in game menu button doesnt work. Playing on a 2nd Gen iPod Touch. Used to work fine. I otherwise recommend the game. Too bad no multiplayer.
The game looks much like an interesting cross between Reversi, tic-tac-toe, and something new. Unfortunately, the single page of instructions references value cards that I only seem to get one of in the later levels, while the computer players get them frequently. Also, it mentions three special cards that I never receive and no mention of what they do. The computer seems to get them and they appear to affect the scoring... always to my detriment!
A fun, quick tile laying game. Really needs online opponents, but is a solid four without it.
I already own the board game so I knew I would like it, and I do. It would great if there were some knightly sounds and music to go along and possibly a richer color palette to enhance the game a bit. Otherwise, a good translation.
I hadnt played Kingdoms before I picked up the iPhone/iPad version. It is pretty easy to learn from the instructions, and its a great board game! The interface works very well. Everything is easy to see and move.
The iPad version of this great boardgame does not follow the rules of the actual Reiner game; typically, you can only place your multiplier tokens in such a way that only a single one appears in any row or column, limiting your movement. Here, you can place them anywhere, racking up ungodly points and removing the crux of the strategy of the game. Thats too bad because the actual boardgame is fantastic. Fix it!!
The bots are great, but it would be better to play against friends.
One of Knizias classic, simple boardgames. Not that much too it, and is a bit mathy, but plays quickly and is addictive. This version looks nice (same graphics from the boardgame?) but really could use multiplayer and sound.
Great fun little game, but would be really nice to have a bit of sound.
Lacking a lot even basic sound it looks like what might be the bare bones of a good game. Its not worth the price at all its a .99 at best. I"d stay away until its cheaper or more is added to it. After playing it a while I downgraded the game. It did not get any more fun and the price tag still taste bad. Save your money stay away.
Desperately needs multiplayer. How hard can it really be to add multiplayer to these games? Its still a great game but whats the point of board games without a multiplayer component?
No complaints. Great game, but needs gamecemter support. If it had that itd be a 5/5.
Fun game that just needs a few fixes. Have separate high scores depending on 2/3/4 players, as it greatly affects the scores. Have more computer players with elo scores. More computer players as well. Overall though great Reiner Kinzia game!
Great game but I cannot understand all rpg.net game do not have sound and multiplay. Kingdoms, money and high society are good games but they are NOT masterpieces due to the above reasons.
